Drivers Needed for Food Deliveries for Those in Need

November 2, 2021 10:53 am

November is St. Veronica’s month for LINK deliveries to those in need.  Drivers are in great need because of the increased number of clients served during the pandemic.

Each month St. Veronica collects food on the second Sunday of the month for the LINK food pantry that benefits the western Fairfax and eastern Loudoun counties.  These food and non-perishable staples are delivered to folks that have been approved for this assistance.  We need St. Veronica individuals and families to help with these deliveries, Tuesday – Saturday evenings, at your convenience.  The food is packaged prior to pick up.  Volunteers coordinate with the client and pick up the bagged items at the pantry and make the delivery.  You will be contacted the evening before the delivery with your client’s name, address and telephone number.

Please consider participating in this important ministry.  To sign up for a date in November please visit the LINK website, www.linkagainsthunger.org, page down to the Volunteer Opportunities, and click on the link to bring you to the Delivery Volunteer sign-ups.  If you have questions, contact Tobey Phan or Kim Nguyen at 703-385-1422.  Thank you!
