Good Friday is a day of Fast and Abstinence. Everyone age 14 and older is bound to observe the law of abstinence from meat. Everyone age 18 and older and up to his/her 60^th year is also bound to observe the law of fast: On this day, only one full meatless meal is allowed; two other meatless meals, sufficient to maintain strength, may be taken according to each one’s needs, but together they should not equal another full meal.
