Frequently Asked Questions:
What are the hours of the camp?
The camp hours are from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday to Friday. You may drop off your child no
earlier than 8:45 am unless you have paid for the Pre-camp services. Pick starts at 3:30 pm and
ends at 4 pm. We also offer pre-camp care, which starts at 8 am, and post-camp care, which starts
at 4 pm and ends at 5 pm. We provide half-day (9 am-1 pm) op on to PreK-K grade categories
only.
What is the duration of the camp?
Every camp is one week long. You can register for one or more camps based on your choice and
summer schedule. Campers will be engaged in various activities based on the camp theme they
registered for that week. On the camp schedule, you may see 2 or 3 themes under a certain
grade category in a given week. It doesn’t mean that your campers will rotate through those
themes. It means that you will pick and register for only one theme in that given week and your
camper will enjoy all hands-on activities to learn that subject area in depth.
How do I sign up for camp?
All of our registration is done online. Please click on one of the “Register Now” buttons at the left
side of the camp description page.
Is it a rising or current grade level when registering my child for the camp?
It is a rising grade level. However, when your child transitions from one grade level category to
the next one (PreK-K to Grade 1-3 and Grade 1-3 to Grade 4-7), for example if your child is a
rising 1st grader, but you want to keep in the younger group category (PreK-K) instead of Grade
1st-3rd, then please enter current grade instead of rising grade in the registration form.
Transition year can be tricky and therefore we encourage parents to make decisions based on
their child’s developmental needs. We provide this option in the transition grade level category
only.
What is a typical day like?
Campers will finish 3-4 science projects in a day. In between they will get snack & lunch break,
two outdoor recesses (one shorter recess in the morning and second longer recess in the
afternoon). Please note that the PreK-K campers get a break after each activity, indoor or outdoor.
There is no nap time for the PreK-K category.
What should my camper bring to camp?
Each camper should bring a lunch, snacks, and drinks each day. Please pack an extra snack if
your camper is registered for the post camp and for the campers who are in PreK-K grades.
Since we have an outdoor component, a small water bottle is advisable. Sunscreen and a hat are
recommended. Please see our policy and waiver concerning the application of sunscreen under
our FAQ Risk Management category. Electronic devices are not permitted at camp and will be
confiscated un l picked up by a parent.
