Talk on Persevering in Amidst Oppression, Then Amidst Freedom on Feb. 10

January 29, 2025 6:26 am

Join us for an inspiring talk followed by discussion, by St. Veronica parishioner Ly Nguyen who shares her powerful journey of faith through two vastly different worlds.

Growing up in Vietnam under a communist dictatorship, she faced relentless oppression against her Catholic beliefs but remained steadfast. Later she arrived in America where freedom offered new opportunities yet introduced subtle challenges—materialism, distractions, etc.—that tested her commitment to living out the Faith. Her story is a moving testament to the resilience of faith amid adversity and the wisdom needed to navigate the spiritual struggles of a free society.

Don’t miss this compelling presentation that will encourage and equip you to persevere in faith no matter the circumstances. Monday, February 10, 7:00 pm, Acolyte Room (just below the last three stations). Sponsored by the Society of Patricians.
