Understanding Violence in the Bible with a God Who is Love

There are many cases in the Old Testament in which Gods either directly kills people, or orders them killed.  The Flood, the ten Plagues, Lot’s wife and the conquest of the Holy Land by Joshua are some well known examples.  Since God is unchanging, how are we to understand His actions in light of the New Testament teachings of Jesus?  Come join the Patricians on Monday, February 13^th, 7:00 pm, in the Acolyte Room as we discuss this difficult topic.
