You may have heard that the Church is expanding the ranks of Exorcists and mandating that all Dioceses have a trained Exorcist. Sadly, this is because the need seems to be increasing, but what is the reality of possession? Can anyone be possessed? Is being in the State of Grace a protection? How can we tell the difference between possession and mental illness?
