Novena to the Holy Face

In honor of St. Veronica’s parish feast day, we will be praying the
Novena to the Holy Face beginning this Thursday, July 4th for the nine
days leading up to and ending on July 12th. We will pray the Novena at
all Masses during that time period. Novena cards will be available in the
pews. If you are unable to attend one of the Masses, we invite you to
pray along with us at home. Because this devotion is based on the
image of Our Lord’s face that appeared on Veronica’s veil it is
especially fitting that our parish participates in this ancient and powerful
Novena.
O my Jesus! Cast upon us a look of mercy. Turn Thy Face toward
each of us, as Thou didst to Veronica. Not that we may see It with
our bodily eyes, for this we do not deserve, but turn It toward our
hearts, so that remembering Thee, we may ever draw from this
fountain of strength, the vigor necessary to sustain the combats of
