On Wednesday, January 19th, St. Veronica will begin a 9 Days for Life Novena. (Source: https://www.usccb.org/resources/9-days-life-novena.) Please join us in praying this Novena at Mass or at home, as you are able. In addition, all are encouraged to spend time in Adoration before Our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament, and to fast in some way (from food, entertainment, social media, etc.) during this time. Two days are particularly highlighted during this Novena: Friday, Jan 21st is the Annual March for Life in Washington, D.C.; Saturday, Jan 22nd is recognized by our bishops as a Day of Prayer for the Legal Protection of Unborn Children, recalling how unborn children’s rights, specifically the right to be born, were dispensed with by the Supreme Court 49 years ago on January 22, 1973 in their Roe v. Wade decision. Click HERE download the Novena prayers and intentions.
