Highlights from Quarterly Parish Council Meeting, Thursday, April 25th

  • Father Kleinmann opened with prayer and announced that the new sanctuary pedestals and new sanctuary lighting will be installed soon. Patrick Chisholm is following up on affordable ideas for the unadorned sound absorbers.
  • Kevin Zrenda presented a proposal for St. Veronica T-shirt sales in partnership with the pro-life ministry for parishioners. Details of the design, printing, and sales will be advertised once confirmed.  Volunteers and recommendations for a printer supplier are welcome.
  • The Luminaries of Holy Mary have committed to pray quarterly at the Falls Church abortion mill.
  • Please support funding for the parish Youth Apostolate programs—mark your calendars for carwashes on June 22nd and July 13th.
  • The parish organic garden is up and sprouting – contact Barbara Seng for weeding opportunities.
  • The St. Mother Teresa Apostolate Outreach announced the Madison County MESA School Supply Drive will run July 13th-21st.
  • The parish library will close on June 30th and re-open on September 8th. Sunday morning volunteers needed!
  • Jean Heinzelman reminded parishioners that walk-ins are welcome at the Divine Mercy Sunday Blood Drive—appointments not required.
  • Vacation Bible School dates are July 15th-19th—registration is open.
  • Support St. Veronica Music Ministry: Attend springtime concerts on May 5th and May 21st.
  • St. Lucy Project Food Drive scheduled for May 19th-31st—volunteers welcome.
  • Aslan’s Army presents a Tepeyac pro-life speaker in the parish hall on May 22nd.
  • Father Kleinmann encourages all to support and attend the Anniversary Gala and Auction celebrating the 20th anniversary of the parish and the 15th anniversary of the school on May 17th and the Cooking With Our Saints cookbook event on June 15th. Father Kleinmann expressed appreciation to apostolates and volunteers committed to deepening their faith and growing in our parish mission, “To know, to love, and to serve God.”
